New World Record: Hilda Baci continuously cooked for four days leaving netizens shocked

World records are meant to be broken so that new records could be made. Have you ever wondered for how long you can cook non-stop?

London-based Indian chef Lata Tondo had set the record of "longest non-stop cooking marathon” at 87 hours and 45 minutes in 2019. Notably,  the Guinness World Record was recently broken by a Nigerian chef. Hilda Baci aged 27 claimed to have cooked for 100 hours straight that exceeds the earlier record set by Lata Tondo.

Actually Hilda claimed of cooking for over four days at Amore Gardens which is an event venue situated at Lekki in Lagos state of Nigeria. As per the sources Baci was permitted to take a five-minute break every hour. She also took help from an assistant while cooking. Her health was regularly monitored by a medical professional.

The Nigerian chef reportedly initiated cooking the dishes for the record at 4 pm on May 11. She opted to prepare mostly Nigerian dishes like jollof rice and akara. WhileWhile cooking she was supported and cheered up by many of her supporters and celebrities who arrived together at the venue. However the verification of her record is still going on.

Baci posted a video of few moments from her attempt and captioned it as: “The outpouring of love over the last 3 days has been so amazing ! Thank you so much for the love and support”. An Instagram user appreciated her by saying, “Hilda I’m super super proud of you and your strength and your ability!!!! It’s unmatched!!! You have shown and proved to the world that dreams are valid and we can achieve whatever we set our minds to. Thank you for putting the Nigerian food/ culinary industry on the world map. You are truly a champ!!!! Congratulations girl".
