Kerala's Sabarimala Temple which is dedicated to Lord Ayappa is all set to be reopened for visitors from November 15, Monday. The temple will be reopened for the visitors in the pilgrimage season, which is known as Mandala-Makaravilakku.

The annual pilgrimage season continues for two whole months, and this year it is all set to begin from November 16. According to the reports, "the temple will permit 30000 devotees to visit the temple during this time, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Also, children who are below the age of 10 have also been permitted to visit the temple." 

In lieu of pandemic, the temple authorities have announced that all pilgrims should follow Covid-19 protocols. Visitors needs to show a negative Covid-19 certificate that is not older than 72 hours, or show a vaccination certificate showing double dosage. Visitors must also carry a valid ID proof, such as a passport, Aadhar card, among others and present them wherever required.
