The Embassy of Poland has recently announced to allow Indian passengers vaccinated with Covishield to travel to Poland without any quarantine requirements. With this, Poland has become the latest European country to recognise India based Covishield vaccine against Covid-19.
To share the announcement, the embassy took to Twitter and wrote, "Poland has recognized #Covishield as a vaccine equivalent to those recognized by the European Union, exempting from quarantine after entering the territory of the Republic of Poland."
The announcement is made after a study has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine which has stated that two shots of Covishield and Pfizer are 90% effective against Covid-19.
