KTDC launches Kerala's first Caravan Tourism package
Kerala Tourism Development Corporation has launched first ever Caravan package for travelers.
The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has launched Kerala's first Caravan tourism package for travelers. Under this package, the visitors will be able to enjoy traveling on a luxurious caravan with all comforts by paying Rs.3999 plus tax per head for each night. To enjoy the caravan ride, the travelers will have to pay Rs. 40 per kilometer and at a time two children and four adults can enjoy the caravan ride.
The agreement
As per the reports, the Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) has signed an agreement with caravan service providers who want to run their services under the package. As an addition to the state's Keravan Kerala initiative, the KTDC has opted to offer the Caravan Holidays package to visitors who want to enjoy and explore the beauty of the region.
The Caravan Package
In the package, the caravan will cover Kumarakom - Vagamon - Thekkady route starting from the lakeside in Kumarakom in the morning. By afternoon, the caravan will reach Vagamon and tourists will be able to enjoy the scenic beauty of Kerala. The package will also offer additional services of bonfires and parking for the passengers. The caravan will reach to eco-tourism hub Thekkady the next day and they can opt to stay at any beautiful property of KTDC. Travelers will have an option to choose between the single-day journey or the entire journey.
In this reference, KTDC Chairman PK Sasi said that the launch of highly attractive tourism packages by KTDC is highly commendable as Kerala is opening its tourism sector.
