Europe to lift Travel Ban for International Travelers from March
The council of European Union (EU) has recently decided to announce relaxed travel restrictions for vaccinated travelers.

The council of European Union (EU) has recently decided to announce relaxed travel restrictions for vaccinated travelers from March in the 27-national block. The member nations have also agreed to permit the entry of those travelers who have recovered from Covid-19. It has also been suggested by the EU that all testing and quarantine rules should be lifted for vaccinated tourists from March.
The relaxed Travel Guidelines
- The tourists must have received the vaccines which are approved by the EU or the World Health Organization (WHO). Earlier, the European Nation has approved vaccines such as Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson and Novavax.
- The travelers will be allowed to travel on a condition that they have taken the last dose of their vaccination at least 14 days prior, and no more than 270 days prior of arriving to the destination.
- The relaxed travel guidelines will also allow anyone who has recovered from the virus within 180 days to travel in the 17-nation block of the EU.
The European Commission said, "The updates will further facilitate travel from outside the EU into the EU, and take into account the evolution of the pandemic, the increasing vaccination uptake worldwide and the administration of booster doses."
Welcoming the decision taken by EU, Julia Simpson, CEO of the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) said, “The patchwork of rules and regulations did nothing to prevent the spread of Covid but did cause immense damage to the economy of Europe causing the loss of jobs and businesses", reported Business Travel News Europe.
Rafael Schvartzman, IATA’s regional vice president for Europe, said, “A vaccinated traveller from outside the EU should be treated no differently to one inside the EU. While we urge member states to implement this recommendation as an important step towards living normally with this virus, it is important that EU considers more flexibility on the approved vaccine list", Business Travel News Europe quoted as saying.
