World Athletics Championship: Neeraj Chopra Enters Final of Men's Javelin, Eldhose Pual Reaches Triple Jump Final

India's Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra qualified for the finals of Men's Javelin Throw and triple-jump champion Eldhose Pual qualified for the Triple Jump finals.

On Friday, India's Olympic Gold Medalist Javelin champion Neeraj Chopra qualified for the finals of Men's Javelin Throw at the World Athletics Championship by throwing his first javelin at a distance of 88.39m. The championship is taking place at Hayward Field, Eugene, Oregon. 

Earlier this year, in June, Neeraj scored his best at 89.94m in Stockholm. Along with Neeraj Chopra, Rohit Yadav has also qualified for the finals by throwing at a distance of 80.42m. Rohit Yadav stands among 12 qualifiers.

India's Triple Jump champion to compete in finals

In another advancement, India's triple-jump champion Eldhose Pual has qualified for the Triple Jump finals with his best jump of 16.68m. On the other hand, Praveen Chithravel and Abdulla Aboobacker missed the chance to qualify for finals as they finished at 17th and 19th respectively.

World's Javelin Throw Champions at World Athletics Championship 

In the qualifying game for Men's Javelin Throw Final, Anderson Peters from Grenera topped the list with a throw of 89.91m. India's Neeraj Chopra stands at 2nd best. Followed by Germany's Julian Webber at 87.28m and Czach Republic's Jakub Vadlejch at 85.23m. 

In the qualifying game for Triple Jump Final, the list of qualifiers has been topped by Tokyo Olympics Gold Medalist Pedro Pichardo with a distance coverage of 17.16m. Followed by Burkino Faso's Hugues Fabrice Zango at 17.15m and Italy's Emanuel Ihemeje at 17.13m.
