On Friday, Indian Batting Star Sachin Tendulkar wished a speedy recovery to Chris Cairns after it is known that the former New Zealand all-rounder has suffered a stroke in his spine and paralysis in his legs while undergoing a life-saving heart surgery in Sydney. Chris Cairns is widely regarded as one of the finest all-rounders of cricket.
As reported by News18, Cairns lawyer has stated, "during the life-saving emergency heart surgery Chris underwent in Sydney he suffered a stroke in his spine. This has resulted in paralysis in his legs. As a result he will be undertaking a significant rehabilitation process at a specialist spinal hospital in Australia."
Tendulkar shared to his official Twitter account and wished for the speedy recovery of Cairns. He wrote, "Concerned to know about Chris Cairns. Hoping and praying, Get well soon mate, the entire cricketing fraternity wishes for your wellbeing."
Cairns represented cricket team of New Zealand in 62 Tests and 215 One Day Internationals (ODI). In Test matches, he has scored 3,320 runs and took 218 wickets. In ODIs, he has scored 4,950 runs with 201 wickets.
