Head Coach announces India Women's Squad of 23 for Brazil tour
The head coach of India Women Football team, Thomas Dennerby has announced the names of 23-member squad for the tournament.

On Thursday, India women football team head coach Thomas Dennerby has announced the names of a squad of 23 players to travel to Manaus, Brazil, in order to participate in a four-nation tournament. The tournament is a part of the team’s preparation for the next year’s AFC Asian Cup.
Dennerby said, “Brazil are a really good team. No other team, since I have arrived, has tested our defence as much as Brazil will do next week." He said that in the second game, Chile will be playing at another extremely technical side. However, with all the hard work that the team is doing, the team has also raised their levels. The game against Venezuela will also be a particularly tough one for the team.
Dennerby said that India has a very good squad members with stars like Marta and Formiga. The team is looking forward to the tournament. He said that it’s the first time that the team will play such stature, and it will be good experience for all of them. He said, "For sure, when we meet them, we need to thank them for being the role models for football that they have been. They have shown that you don’t need to quit football when you are 30-31. It’s all about performance and keep playing as long as you can. They are super good role models", reported PTI news.
