Rishabh Pant is severely injured after meeting with a car accident this morning.

Indian cricket star and young wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant suffered a tragic car accident this morning. He was reportedly returning home from Delhi in his Mercedes car that crashed with a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway early this morning.

The life threatening accident took place on the Narsan border of Roorkee near Hammadpur Jhal. As per the eye witnesses, Pant's car caught fire after getting collided to the railing. The car got completely destroyed as a result of the accident and was burned down by the fire which proved to be very difficult to get rid of.

At the time accident Pant was the only soul in the car. Uttarakhand Police Director General Ashok Kumar claims “he broke the windscreen to escape the flaming vehicle. He suffered head, knee, and shin injuries in the incident. His leg may have been fractured; therefore, he was transported to the Max Hospital in Dehradun”. The cops also said that he dozed off while driving the car. The wicketkeeper was immediately taken to Shaksham Hospital in Delhi.

In one of the videos of the accident that got surfaced Pant could be spotted covered in blood and being helped by the locals, while his car could be witnessed in the background trapped in flames. In another video, he could be found lying on the floor without clothes.

The accident is followed by the shower of Get well soon wishes for the injured played over social media. Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman tweeted wishing a quick recovery to their teammate. Virendra Sehwag said "Wishing dear @RishabhPant17 a super speedy recovery. Bahut hi Jald swasth ho jaao,".
