As country is going through the second wave of the global pandemic a meeting has been organized by PM of India with scientists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with the scientists of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Society. Initiating the meeting, PM Modi said, Corona global pandemic has come as the biggest challenge of this century before the whole world. But history is a witness to this, whenever there has been a big crisis on humanity, science has prepared the way for a better future.

The CSIR

The CSIR Society is part of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and Technology. Its activities are carried out through 37 laboratories and 39 outreach centres spread across India.

Prime Minister's words

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "The experience of the last century is that when earlier any discovery was done in other countries of the world, then India had to wait for many years for it. But today the scientists of our country are walking shoulder to shoulder with other countries, working at the same speed. PM Modi added, "In any country, science and technology touches the same heights, the better it is related to the industry, the market".

Prime Minister Modi said, "Today India is showing the way to the world in the field of sustainable development and clean energy. Today, from software to satellite, we are also accelerating the development of other countries. Playing the role of major engine in the development of the world. This crisis of Corona may have slowed down the pace, but even today our resolve is - self-reliant India, strong India".
