The Central government has alerted 6 states amidst Omicron threat.

Two days ago, a 72-year-old man from South Africa had brought Corona positive report from Zimbabwe to Jamnagar. When the young man was examined at the airport, he was found positive. The Health Department took samples of the youth and sent them to the Pune lab. But after the report came, it has become clear that he is infected with Omicron.
Two patients found in Karnataka
Two days ago in India, the first two patients of Omicron were found in Karnataka. In which one is a 66-year-old foreign national, who had recently gone to South Africa, while the other is a 46-year-old health worker from Bomanahalli, Bangalore. Positive reports of both have revealed that they are infected with Omicron.

6 States Alerted
The 6 states to which the Health Secretary has written a letter include Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Odisha and Mizoram. The Health Ministry has expressed concern over the increasing cases of corona virus infection in these states, the increasing positivity rate of corona infection and the increasing mortality rate. The central government has directed these states to ensure that they test, track, treat, vaccinate. Also, keep an eye on the proper behavior of Covid-19.
