The new strain of Corona virus has entered India from Britain now, know how to identify its effect

Six passengers who landed in India last night on different flights from the United Kingdom were tested to be positive for the new strain COVID-19. This news comes amidst increasing fears over the new and evolved and mutated strain of the Covid-19 that has been discovered in London.

India's ban on flights coming from the United Kingdom, will come into action at the earliest from Wednesday, and could stay until the end of 2020.The authorities have stated, that till then all passengers strolling back from the United Kingdom might be examined thoroughly for the coronavirus on arrival at airports. 

Six passengers who were tested positive on their arrival in India had been some of the 266 who travelled via way of means of the Air India Flight that landed in the capital at 10.40pm on Monday. Awanish Kumar, who's assisting the exams on the New Delhi airport, stated it was "not-clear" if any of them had  carried the evolved and mutated Virus. "It is unclear...NCDC will affirm this," Mr Kumar stated, regarding the National Centre for Disease Control, to which samples of the passengers examined in Delhi were sent. 

One of the six took a connecting flight to Chennai and tested affirmative , in step with an company report. "We are checking out for COVID-19 passengers on flights either starting or having a lay-over in UK. One such passenger has been examined positive yesterday," Health Secretary J Radhakrishnan of Tamil Nadu had informed ANI. 

What is this new strain and what are it’s symptoms ?

These new strains of Corona are said to be highly contagious. Showing some precaution, many nations including our country, India has restricted air-travel t and from the UK. Many parts of Britain have gone into a strict lockdown when there is a Christmas present. Research has begun in many countries including the US, UK on the new variant. 

Apart from the common symptoms of COVID-19 of dry cough, fever and loss of senses, 7 other symptoms and indicators that have been associated with the new strain of the virus.

- Loss of appetite

- Headache

- Mental confusion

- Tiredness

- Diarrhoea/ Stomach Cramps

- Muscle pains

It is very common for a virus to change its form. As the virus spreads in the population, it changes its form. The difference is that some change more quickly, some more slowly. The new variant is the consequence of evolved mutations in the SPAR protein of SARS-CoV-2.

A change in the genetic code of the virus creates a new form. Of greater concern is when the virus mutates by altering its surface proteins. This is what has happened in the new strains. The result is that the virus escapes the immune system or drugs. Those who have previously been Covid have been shown to have a very low chance of infection with this new strain.
