Two videos of Maithili Thakur has been released by Madhubani District Administration of Bihar to create awareness about the covid pandemic among people. The first video is featuring Padmashree Dulari Devi and second video surfacing the internet featuring Maithili Thakur.
Cases in Madhubani District, Bihar
On May 27, Madhubani District has recorded 16,785 positive corona cases out of which 15,651 have recovered. Right now there are 1,130 infected cases and 243 people have recovered of the disease in the last 24 hours.
Padmashree Dulari Devi
Dulari Devi is an Indian artist and illustrator, working in the Madhubani art. She is one of the Dalit women artist who received Padmashree award in 2021 as "Warriors of Change". In her video, Padmashree Dulari Devi requested to the public to stay indoors and fight Corona. She said that "There is no need to get panic after getting infected from Corona. One can notify the District Administration for the treatment and care."
Maithili Thakur
Maithili Thakur is an original Indian singer. She is trained in Indian Classical music and Folk music. In the released video, she has given her introduction in Maithili language and asked the public to keep calm and fight the situation. She said that "Covid cases are rising on a daily basis and patients are being found in every village. Don't forget to wear masks before stepping out of home. Wash hands whenever you touch anything outside. Let us show our understanding to combat this Corona epidemic."
