Senior Congress leader and lawyer Kapil Sibal on Friday remarked on the Narcotics Control Bureau's test into the case of Aryan Khan and said the consideration has been successfully redirected from Ashish Mishra and the Lakhimpur Kheri case. Naming NCB's investigation as another overall set of laws where there is no proof of consumption and possession (of drugs), the Congress chief said it is a case of 'liable till demonstrated blameless.

Aryan Khan was arrested on October 3 after the NCB struck a rave party on a Goa-bound cruise. His bail pleas have so far been dismissed by the court while a special NDPS court is probably going to issue its request on October 20.

Aryan Khan was not found in possession of drugs while 6-gram charas was found from his companion Arbaaz Merchant. NCB said possession of drugs, its amount is irrelevant in this case as it is a case of conspiracy, unlawful medication dealing, the NCB said. It also said that Aryan Khan is not new to drugs and was mindful that Arbaaz was conveying drugs.

Congress pioneer Karti Chidambaram on Thursday said Aryan Khan is just blow-back in a bigger plan. "Lamentably, Aryan Khan is blow-back in a bigger plan. Sad to see a youngster go through this," the Congress chief tweeted as the court during yesterday's hearing reserved its request for October 20, subsequently causing Aryan Khan to spend one more week in prison.

Kapil Sibal raked up the issue of Lakhimpur Kheri and said consideration has been redirected from that point. Ashish Mishra, son of Union minister Ajay Mishra Teni, was sent to police custody till October 15. He is the principal accused of the episode in which eight individuals, including four farmers, kicked the bucket after a vehicle supposedly ran over farmers and in the viciousness that followed.

Both the NCB strike and the Lakhimpur Kehri episode occurred on October 3.
