These days candidates are getting highest paying jobs in IT sector with right skills. However, there are many candidates who are opposing the lucrative job offers despite the lucrative salaries. Arun Pundir, native of Mundali village of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has pursued BTech from Meerut Institute of Engineering And Technology. After completing his graduation, he got an offer from a Noida-based IT company with a package of Rs 20 lakh. Instead of accepting the offer he chose to follow his childhood passion to serve the nation by joining the Indian Army.

Live Hindustan reported that, situations were not so easy for Arun as there are medical expenses in his family. His father Pradeep Pundir has been in a coma for 18 years. In 2016, he even lost his mother in a road accident. She was an Anganwadi worker.

He completed the studies of class 12 from Translem and then took admission in MIET. After completing BTech, he started to prepare for Indian Army jobs with the help of his maternal uncle Surendra Singh Tomar. Surendra Singh Tomar is retired from Indian Army as a subedar major. Arun cracked the SSB interview under the guidance of his maternal uncle.

When others were grabbing the lucrative job offers he focused to prepare for the UPSC NDA exam. Now, with the persistence of his hard work and patience Arun Pundir has achieved the 5th spot in the SSB interview and joined the Indian Army as a lieutenant.

As shared by Arun, since childhood he always had a passion to serve the nation. Despite unfavourable situations, he continued to work to fulfil this dream.
