IMD issues Yellow Alert for Northern India

The weather is getting colder all over the country. Due to rain, snowfall and cold wave, a continuous drop in temperature is being recorded.

The weather is getting colder all over the country. Due to rain, snowfall and cold wave, a continuous drop in temperature is being recorded. Cold wind is sweeping in North India. Change in weather is visible due to snowfall in many mountain areas and rain in plains. It is raining with thunder in many parts of Bihar. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal from January 11 to January 13.

Heavy rainfall predicted 

The effect of clouds is being seen in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and West Bengal. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the Western Disturbance, there will be heavy rain in many parts of East India. The areas of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat are in the grip of cold winds, due to which the temperature has dropped, due to which the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert. 

Yellow alert issued in Maharashtra

On Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a 'Yellow Alert', in which moderate to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to occur in Vidarbha region of Maharashtra for the next two days. According to IMD, many districts of East Vidarbha including Nagpur received hailstorm with rain on Tuesday. The IMD's Regional Meteorological Center in Nagpur has issued a 'yellow' alert for Nagpur, Wardha, Chandrapur, Yavatmal, Gondia, Bhandara and Gadchiroli districts of Vidarbha till Thursday, the official said.
