Jitendra Mann aka Gogi, one of Delhi's most wanted gangsters, was shot dead inside the national capital's Rohini court today. The incident took place when Jitendra was produced before the judge of Rohini court. Police said that three people, including the infamous gangster, were killed in the firing incident in the court.
The firing took place in Rohini Court outside Court no. 206. Two assailants died on the spot between the cross-firing by the police personnel present at the scene of the crime. As per the initial report, the culprits were in the attire of an advocate. It is also being reported that one female lawyer was also injured in the attack.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Pranav Tayal said that when the attackers fired at Gogi, he was in the uniform of a lawyer. The DCP said that the police team also fired in return. Gogi, who was involved in several criminal cases and lodged in Tihar Jail, was being produced in court when members of a rival gang posing as lawyers entered the court and opened fire.
Police sources also say that two miscreants of Tillu gang have also been killed in the encounter. But so far the names of both the miscreants have not been identified. After this incident, it is also being told that there was mutual enmity between them. About 6 people have also been injured in this shootout.
