Delhi has recorded 21,259 fresh Covid-19 cases and 23 deaths in the last 24 hours.

On Tuesday, Delhi has reported 21,259 fresh Covid-19 cases and 23 deaths in the last 24 hours, with positivity rate climbing to 25.65 per cent, said the data updated by the health ministry. The tally of infections has reached to 15,90,155 and the death toll stands at 25,200. On Monday, a total of 19,166 cases and 17 deaths were recorded in the national capital on Monday. 


The Restrictions 

In view of the rising cases, the Delhi government on Tuesday ordered the closure of all private offices, except those in exempted categories. The private offices, operating with 50 per cent work force, have been asked to perform work from home. The order has also been issued by Delhi Disaster Management Authority for closing of restaurants and bars in the city. However, as per the guidelines, home delivery and take away of food items will be allowed. 

Omicron Cases 

For two days, no case of Omicron variant has been reported in Delhi, maintaining a tally of 513 infections so far, said the data by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
