On Wednesday morning, the national capital has experienced shallow fog. The minimum temperature is recorded at 8.4 degrees Celsius, which is a notch above the normal. As per the predictions by the weather office it will be a cloudy day. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said, "the city has received 4 mm of rainfall in last 24 hours between 8.30 am on Tuesday to 8.30 am on Wednesday. There will be generally cloudy sky with shallow to moderate fog on Wednesday." 

"The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 97 per cent in Delhi. The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 20 degrees Celsius", said the IMD. With the maximum temperature on Tuesday recorded at 18 degrees Celsius, the city’s air quality has improved to “poor" category on Wednesday as the air quality index (AQI) at 8 am was 288, the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed. 

The AQI of its neighboring cities stands at poor category with Faridabad at 284, Ghaziabad at 286, Gurgaon at 264. An AQI between zero and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, 301 and 400 very poor, and 401 and 500 severe.
