The risk of corona infection in the world has not reduced completely. Its effect can be seen more in India. According to data released by the Ministry of Health, "by the end of August, the third wave of corona will come in the country, although it is expected that the number of corona infection cases and deaths will be less than the second wave. But the third wave is completely true". In such a situation, the government is preparing people mentally in advance.

Dr Samiran Panda, Head of Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases, Indian Council of Medical Research, spoke to NDTV in this regard. He said, "There will be a nationwide third wave but that doesn't mean it will be as high or as intense as the second wave." Dr. Panda also told what factors can be helpful in the rise of the third wave. He said, "the first reason could be that if the immunity is low, then this third wave of infection can go to dangerous levels."

The Third Wave

The third wave will be due to the spread of corona. People are not following covid-19 protocols. They are not wearing masks, going to public places without any restrictions, social distancing is not being followed, it increases the possibility of third wave to hit the country.

Stay Safe

To avoid the third wave, all the norms related to corona infection will have to be followed. Wearing a mask is mandatory, use of sanitizer is very important. The biggest reason for the spread of the third wave may be if the states start giving premature relaxation in the rules and restrictions to prevent corona infection, then it can prove to be dangerous. Will there be more cases of delta variants in the third wave? On this question, Dr. Panda said, "there are cases of infection related to both Delta and Delta Plus in the country", although he said, "there was no such danger of Delta yet."
