More than two dozen people have lost their lives due to the collapse of the cremation ground at Muradnagar in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, while more than 40 people are injured and are undergoing treatment. In such a situation, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has decided to take strict action regarding the cremation ground accident in Muradnagar of Ghaziabad on Sunday. Not only this, CM Yogi has increased the compensation amount to Rs 10 lakh to the families of those who died in this incident along with seeking their investigation report regarding the Muradnagar crematorium ghat incident. At the same time, CM Yogi has ordered a NSA against the engineer and contractor for this accident. Along with this, CM has instructed the engineer and contractor to recover the entire loss.

Know what the NSA means ?

When was the NSA implemented ?

The act was passed by the former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi government which came to power again in the year 1980 on 23 September. Subsequently, it became known as the National Security Act 1980 on 27 December 1980 with the approval of the then President Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy. Under Rasuka or the NSA, any suspect can be jailed for up to one year without charge. Along with this, the person detained can only appeal to the Advisory Board of the High Court but the person arrested during the trial is not allowed to meet any lawyer.
