Bharti SIngh and Husband called in for enquiry by the NCB: Know how the drug probe started

NCB raids come amidst the investigation - which began with inquiries into the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June and has over the time evolved in the alleged drug use by the people in the film and entertainment industry.

Previously, many prominent names in the industry like the actresses Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh were also summoned by the NCB for questioning in their involvement in the usage of drugs.

The NCB started their Investigation in the month of June of this year after the death of the actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who, was considered to be under the influence of drugs and the claims of his suicide were ruled out, later on in the Investigation, it was also declared that late actor Sushant’s Girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty was infact the one with her connections in the drug mafia and was the one lacing Sushant’s food and drinks with Weed(Cannabis) and other drug pills to the actor. Rhea was arrested 81 days after Sushant was found dead in his apartment in South Mumbai on June 14th., Rhea’s brother, Showmik Chakraborty was also taken in custody after he revealed names of some of his vendors and regular peddlers.

The NCB probe is still very much in action, as recently as today (November 21st) , another raid was carried out in Mumbai.

The name of Bollywood actor and comedian Bharti Singh has come up this time in the drug case. The NCB had found weed(cannabis) from the Comedian’s house in a raid at her flat in Andheri. The NCB has summoned Bharti and her husband Harsh Limbachiya. The NCB's action in the Bollywood drugs case continues.
