The program was telecasted over All India Radio, Doordarshan, Youtube and many other social media platforms. PM declared that Chandigarh airport would be renamed on 28th September in the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh. The new name would be related to Late Bhagat Singh as a mark of tribute to this great freedom fighter. He also gave tribute to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya on his birthday.
PM said “Right now every part of the country is lightened with celebration. Tomorrow is the first day of Navaratri in which Goddess Shailaputri would be worshipped to initiate nine days of rules, patience and fasting followed by Vijay Dashami celebration. This portrays the devotion and spirituality filled in our festivals and the deep messages embedded in it”. PM Modi also pointed out while ingoing climatic changes has turned to a threat for marine ecosystem on the other hand unclean beaches are creating huge troubles. So it is our duty to make utmost efforts to face these challenges.
He stated that “The vital role of yoga in maintaining good physical and mental health is already accepted by the world. It is especially beneficial for problems like diabetes and blood pressure. United States has decided to celebrate 21st June as International Yoga Day in after realizing the merits of Yoga”.
He also mentioned “I would speak only two words that I know it would multiply your excitement four times. These words are- Surgical Strike. We should celebrate the on-going campaign of Amrit Mohatsav in our country with all our heart and soul and we should share our happiness with everyone”. He also announced a competition at MyGov platform in which he had requested the public to suggest a few things which includes a suitable name for cheetah campaign.
He also asked the public if they would consider naming each individual cheetah. He expressed a desire of traditional names as anything related to our society, culture and traditions easily attracts us towards it. The cheetahs are being monitored by a special cheetah task force which has been created to take care of these new animals. These cheetahs will be produced before the public once they adapt to their new surroundings.
