OMG 2: Akshay Kumar starrer returning by replacing Paresh Rawal with Pankaj Tripathi

However, the latest developments have informed that Akshay will reprise his role but Paresh Rawal will be replaced by another actor. According to a report, OMG 2 will not feature Paresh Rawal. Moreover, none other than Pankaj Tripathi will be associated with this film.
Koimoi quoted a source as saying, “Oh My God 2 will have Pankaj Tripathi in the lead opposite Akshay Kumar, who returns to play his role from the first part. Pankaj was in talks for a long time and now everything is finalised."
This will be Akshay and Pankaj's second collaboration after Farhad Samji's 'Bachchan Pandey', produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Talking about when the shooting will start, the source said that it will be a two-month schedule starting from September. The insider elaborates,“The pre-production work has started with a team working in isolation to find out the possible shooting locations, and also decided to design the sets in the city. The film will be completed in one go by the month of October.
Akshay will wrap up the remainder of Aanand L Rai's 'Raksha Bandhan' before jumping to OMG 2. While earlier OMG was directed by Umesh Shukla, it is said that another director will be directing this film. The film will be produced by Ashwin Varde and Akshay Kumar.
