Lara Dutta transforms as Indira Gandhi for Bell Bottom
Actress Lara Dutta has transformed as Indira Gandhi for her upcoming movie Bell Bottom.
The trailer of Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom is already released. Lara Dutta is seen to be playing the role of Indira Gandhi in the movie. Set in 1984 Bell Bottom is a spy thriller. The trailer revealed the 46-year-old actress' onscreen transformation as the former Prime Minister for the first time. The movie is directed by Ranjit M Tewari. It will release in cinemas on August 19.
"It is a great responsibility when you portray someone who's an iconic figure like Mrs Gandhi. It was very important to get her body language right," Lara Dutta said at the 'BellBottom' trailer launch, reports IANS.
With her new transformation, the fans are shocked and tweeted, "OMG... this is Lara Dutta, our Miss Universe. She nailed it... looking forward for this movie," said a user. Another fan shared: "Is she Lara Dutta? Unrecognisable". "My goodness! She is Lara Dutta!" posted by another fan.
Bell Bottom casts Akshay Kumar as an undercover RAW agent. Actress Vaani Kapoor plays the role of Akshay Kumar's wife while the film also stars Huma Qureshi. Based on a true story Bell Bottom is a nail-biting spy thriller. Akshay Kumar is assigned the mission of rescuing 210 hostages from a hijacked Indian plane.
