We haven’t often heard television actors share stories about how they left education or their studies mid-way in order to make an acting career. And while most of our actors hail from an engineering background, they have always pointed out how the acting world left them without degrees, but there are some exceptions. Yes, many of our TV actors who have worked in the biggest of shows have not only been degree holders but are also highly educated. 

Unlike the rest, these TV actors completed their education and owned a degree even though life had different plans for them. Here are 10 such TV stars who every aspiring actor should look up to…

1. Karan Patel

TV’s angry young man who we all loved in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and saw him in the last season of Khatron Ke Khiladi is a post-graduate in arts. After completing his graduation from Mithibai College in Mumbai, Karan attended the Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute and also completed his PG from London. Other than this Karan has also attended Shiamak Dawar’s dance classes. 

2. Jasmin Bhasin

Actress Jasmin Bhasin won our hearts with her debut show Dil Se Dil Tak and later on in Khatron Ke Khiladi too, her cute and vivacious avatar was loved by many. Currently, we are seeing Jasmin on Bigg Boss 14 and she is playing the game quite brilliantly. Not many know, Jasmin holds a degree in hospitality from Jaipur and was working in the marketing field before becoming an actor. 

3. Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya

Divyanka has been one of the most popular names in the TV industry and while she entertained the audience for years with Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, acting was never her initial plan. The actress who hails from Bhopal was preparing for her civil services exam after graduation before she forayed into the acting world. Other than this Divyanka also completed her mountaineering course from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi. 

4. Ram Kapoor

Actor Ram Kapoor who has worked in lots of TV shows as well as films, recently also made his debut in the OTT space with Abhay Season 2. While he had a fruitful career in showbiz, Ram completed his acting course from an academy in Los Angeles.  

5.Karan V Grover

While Karan V Grover had been away from the limelight for a while, recently we saw him in the show Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum. And while Karan has been a heartthrob on the small screen, he is also a chemical engineer. Karan holds a degree in chemical engineering and has also done an event management course from the National Institute of Event Management, he was also an event manager for a year before he became an actor. 

6. Nakuul Mehta

Television’s blue-eyed boy Nakuul Mehta ruled hearts with his shows Ishqbaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi and now he is also exploring the web-space. Nakuul is a post-graduate and holds a master's degree in Commerce. Other than this he is also a trained dancer in Jazz, Contemporary and Hip-Hop. 

7. Surbhi Jyoti

Actress Surbhi Jyoti rose to fame with her show Qubool Hai, and while we saw her in Naagin 3 last, let us tell you that Surbhi is one learned woman. She has a Masters of Arts Degree in English and she is quite a good debater.  

8. Sharad Kelkar

Sharad who made his debut on TV with the show Saat Phere has also been very successful in Bollywood. In fact, he has done lots of popular films and is a notorious villain in the Hindi film industry. Academically, Sharad holds an MBA degree and he was an excellent student. 

9. Deepika Singh

We all know actress Deepika Singh as our beloved Sandhya beendni from Diya Aur Baati Hum and her most recent project on TV was Kavach. And while she is a brilliant actress Deepika has also done her MBA in Marketing from Punjab Technical University. 

10. Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar

Tejasswi Prakash shot to fame with her controversial TV show Pehredaar Piya Ki. Later on, she also participated in Khatron Ke Khiladi and Tejasswi who hails from a musical family has an engineering degree in electronics and telecommunications.
