Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s film Laxmii hasn’t been getting very good reviews, however, the film has been appreciated for blurring religious barriers and also creating awareness about the transgender community. - Akshay Kumar’s latest film Laxmii has been inspired by the celebrity transgender and transgender arena’s Mahamandaleshwar (Brand Ambassador) Laxmi Narayan Tripathi. 

- Laxmi who has also appeared on the popular reality show Bigg Boss 5 was chosen as the first Transgender community chief spokesperson or ambassador on 2nd May 2016. 

- Laxmi was chosen for this post on receiving support from 20 lakh transgenders. 

- Laxmi was born in a Brahmin family in Thane, Maharashtra on 13th December 1978 at the Maruti Bai Hospital. 

- Laxmi has done post-graduation in Bharatnatyam since childhood she has received professional training in dance. 

- Laxmi has been a contestant on Salman Khan hosted reality show Bigg Boss Season 5. 

- After this, she was seen on other reality shows like Dus Ka Dum, Sach Ka Saamna, and Raaz Pichle Janam Ka.
