Is Bigg Boss 14 opening up Abhinav Shukla’s dark past on purpose?

Every year we see the Bigg Boss team picking up the choicest of contestants for the show. And while they often tend to bring on some controversial characters as well as the biggest of TV celebs onboard, what is fun to see is such contrasting personalities locked up in the house for months. Well, in such a scenario clashes are bound to happen. However, season 14 of Bigg Boss has been different, living true to its ‘Ab scene paltega’ theme they even brought contestants who have been a little decent from what we have seen in the past. 

In fact, this season’s contestants have been so posh and poised that there was no crass quotient we witnessed until the challengers entered the game. Amongst this oh-so-classy bunch was the couple of actor Abhinav Shukla and Rubina Dilaik. Both husband and wife have been quite opposite personalities, while Rubina has been boisterous, Abhinav has shown zenith like calm in the game. Well, many would even agree that Abhinav has been the most decent player in the history of Bigg Boss. 

His out of the box vision to look at the world has surely made him stand out, but what also set his apart from the rest was that he never brought any past baggage or controversies with him into the house. But while he has been on this journey, unwillingly his dark past came behind to haunt him. Here are some of his dark chapters that resurfaced on Bigg Boss for no reason. 

Sending violent text messages to actress Kavita Kaushik

While in the house, during a fight Kavita Kaushik asked Rubina if she knew the truth about her husband. Even though after that fight escalated and Kavita walked out of the game, her husband Ronnit took to Twitter stating that some years ago Abhinav misbehaved with his wife Kavita. He even went on to claim that Abhinav is an alcoholic and he would send Kavita messages of a violent nature and would even demand meeting her at odd hours. Later on, Kavita and her husband even came on the Weekend Ka Vaar episode to clarify this and the argument got so heated that Salman Khan had to intervene and set things straight. But Abhinav refuted all these allegations and said that he will deal with them in a legal fashion. 

Abhinav and Rubina’s marriage on the rocks

One major agenda that came up on the show was when Rubina Dilaik revealed that her marriage with Abhinav Shukla was on the verge of breaking and that with Bigg Boss they have given their relationship a second chance. While many housemates questioned their loyalties and thought they just brought up this issue for footage, Abhinav was shown wondering in a video as to how did this news about their marriage breaking apart, get published in the newspapers in the first place. He even seemed concerned about the fact that how his family would react to such news. 

About depression and financial crisis

Even though Abhinav doesn’t seem the sort who would wash his dirty linen in public, during one of the tasks he got so emotionally driven that he revealed how he has suffered from depression and about the phase in his life when he almost went bankrupt. 

Well, Abhinav has been a thorough gentleman on Bigg Boss 14, and as the game progressed his character arch has also changed, only getting him more love from the audience.
