Tales of Soldiers' Valour To Be Included in Curriculum, Says Education Minister
The entries by the students include the boldness and penances of freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Captain Vikram Batra, Captain Manoj Pandey and many others.

On Friday, the NDA government said that the fearlessness of Indian troopers would be made a piece of the school educational plan. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan made the declaration on the event of the felicitation of 25 winners of the "Veer Gatha" challenge wherein school students were to submit articles, poems, or drawings commending the freedom fighters and the heroism of Armed Forces personnel.
He said the Education Ministry in discussion with the Defense Ministry will attempt to incorporate the tales of valor of soldiers and India's Veer Gatha over the most recent 75 years into the school educational plan and course readings.

"All students are bound together by patriotism too," says Defense Minister Rajnath Singh
On the occasion of award distribution, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said to the winners, "These fearless freedom fighters and Armed Forces personnel, who served their motherland, come from different parts of the country and belong to different religions. But, one thing that is common among them is their love for India. They are bound by the common thread of patriotism. All students are bound together by patriotism too."

The entries by the students include the boldness and penances of freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, and Khudiram Bose and of the brave champs like Major Somnath Sharma, Subedar Sanjay Kumar, Sepoy (Honorary Captain) Baba Harbhajan Singh, Havildar Veer Abdul Hameed, Captain Vikram Batra, Captain Manoj Pandey, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, Col Santosh Babu, and Col Mitali Madhumita, the main lady official in the Indian Army to get a courage grant.
