For Credit Linked Schemes PM Modi Launches Jan Samarth Portal

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Jan Samarth Portal for credit-linked schemes provided by the government. The portal was launched during the 'Iconic Week Celebrations' of the "Ministry of Finance" and the "Ministry of Corporate Affairs" at Vigyan Bhawan. 

The Statement shared by the PM and the PMO 

In a statement, PM Modi said, "India has also worked on the different dimensions in the last eight years. The public participation that increased in the country during this period and they gave impetus to the development of the country." 

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) said, "Jan Samarth Portal is a one-stop digital portal linking Government credit schemes. It's a first-of-its-kind platform that directly connects beneficiaries to lenders. The main purpose of the Jan Samarth portal is to encourage inclusive growth and development of various sectors by guiding and providing them with the right type of government benefits through simple and easy digital processes."

The Press Release Stating the Release of Special Coins 

In this regard, a press has been released by the PM office, stating, "Prime Minister will inaugurate a Digital Exhibition which traces the journey of the two Ministries over the past eight years." 

Further, the release said that the Prime Minister will also be releasing special series of Re 1, Rs 2, Rs 5, Rs 10, and Rs 20 coins. These special series of coins will have the theme of the logo of AKAM and will also be easily identifiable to the visually impaired persons. 

The Jan Samarth Portal 

The Jan Samarth Portal works on an analytics-based system with the latest technologies allowing the users (beneficiaries) to get guidance about their eligibility and suitable schemes for them as per their credentials and requirements. The portal works on a digital verification system that makes the process simpler, easier, and speedy.
