Travel From Punjab To Delhi Airport In Luxury Buses From June 15
For the ease of travelers, Volvo buses will run from Punjab to Delhi's IGI airport. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announces to start the service from June 15.

On Friday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced to run Volvo buses from Punjab to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. The move has been taken to break the monopoly of the private buses in the state. These state-owned buses will charge half the price of the private buses from Punjab to Delhi's IGI airport.
While making the announcement through video conferencing, CM Bhagwant Mann said, "We have got the mandate of the people to serve the state by eliminating the mafia. Our government has already curbed the liquor mafia through our new excise policy and today I am happy to announce that now the transport mafia will also be a thing of the past."

Volvo bus service to start from June 15
The state-owned Volvo bus service to IGI airport will begin from 10 cities in Punjab including Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Rupnagar, Hoshiarpur, Ludhiana, Pathankot, Amritsar, Moga, Muktsar, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar because most of the travelers belong to these areas.
In the announcement, CM Bhagwant Mann stated, "The tariff will be less than half, and the facilities to commuters will be more. We are committed to breaking all mafias that flourished in the state before the AAP government was formed. Recently, we even brought an excise policy that will lead to the state earning a 40 percent additional revenue over the last year."

Reasonable Ticket Price
Currently, the private buses charge Rs 1,600 - Rs 2,600 per head from Punjab to IGI airport, and the Volvo buses will charge Rs 800 - Rs 1,400 per head from Punjab to IGI airport. The bookings of these buses can be easily done from the websites of Punjab Roadways and PUNBUS.
