Road Trips to get costlier, Toll Tax to increase from April 1

As per a recent announcement by the NHAI, the toll cost on Delhi-Meerut Expressway will be increased by 10-15 percent for vehicles, with an effect from April 1.

The NHAI has set the speed limit on the expressway has been restricted to 70 kmph in Delhi (Package 1), 100 kmph in Ghaziabad (Package 2) and 120 kmph between Dasna and Meerut (Package 4). Autos and bikes will not be allowed on the expressway’s 6 express lanes. 

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has increased the toll tax from ₹10 to ₹65. The department has increased the cost of light vehicles by Rs 10 per vehicle and Rs 65 for commercial vehicles.

The new tax rates to be paid from April 1

Now toll cars, jeeps, vans, and light vehicles: Rs 75 (one way)

Cars, jeeps, vans, and light vehicles: Rs 110 (for commuting)

For Monthly Pass: Rs.2445

Light Commercial Vehicles, Freight Light Vehicles, Mini Bus: Rs 120 (one way)

Light Commercial Vehicles, Light Freight Vehicles, Mini Buses: Rs 180 (both sides)

Monthly Pass: Rs 3950

Double axle truck and bus: Rs.250 (one way)

Double axle truck and bus: Rs 370 (both sides)
