As per a recent update, travelers will now have to arrange their trips to Ladakh cautiously. After the recent decision, every traveler who is visiting Ladakh will have to go through compulsory 48 hours of acclimatization in Leh prior to proceeding with their excursion.

According to the reports, the decision comes to avoid the issues of acute high altitude sickness among sightseers, for which the Leh (Ladakh) organization has given a request expressing that vacationers showing up in Leh will presently need to go through obligatory 48 hours of acclimatization prior to the beginning their excursion in Ladakh.

The meeting with officials 

Tashi Gyalson, Chairman cum Chief Executive Councilor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), chaired a meeting with officials and partners of the travel industry. In the meeting issues connected with the travel industry area in Leh were discussed. 

As per a report by the Times of India, the authorities discussed various issues in the meeting, including the prerequisite to updating health offices to be able to cope with health-related emergencies, especially the ones which are located in famous traveler areas at higher elevations in the region.
