Omicron Threat: Rajasthan Govt. issues Fresh Travel Guidelines
The Rajasthan government has issued fresh travel guidelines for international and domestic travelers.

On December 6, Rajasthan’s Jaipur has recorded the highest number of Omicron patients, i.e., 9. For the Omicron variant, the infected cases are as four members from one family and five of their acquaintances. It has to be noted that the family members recently travelled from South Africa.
The four Omicron infected cases are currently admitted to the hospital of the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS). Besides, the samples from all nine people have been collected and sent to Jaipur’s Sawai Man Singh Hospital for genome sequencing.
Fresh Travel Guidelines
Domestic Travel
- Only those travelers will be allowed to enter the state who are vaccinated with at least 1st dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
- Travelers who have not got their first dose of Covid-19 vaccine will have to produce a negative RT-PCR test report of not earlier than 72 hours.
- It is mandatory for all the passengers to undergo thermal screening and Oxygen Saturation Tests.
- It is necessary for the travelers to certify their current health status through the Aarogya Setu mobile app or a Self-Declaration Form.
- People must follow the “No Mask-No Movement” along with social distancing norms.
International Passengers
- If an international traveler tests positive, samples will be sent to ascertain whether the individual has been infected with the new variant of Covid-19 or not. Surveillance across the state has also been intensified e for identifying cases early.
