Amidst rising cases of Covid-19, Jammu airport has revised the testing rules for travelers. As per the latest reports, the Jammu airport officials have decided to increase testing of unvaccinated travelers, which includes the pilgrims for Vaishno Devi. At present, all international travelers have to undergo through RT-PCR tests at the airport.

Sanjeev Kumar Garg, Director, Jammu Airport said, "Travellers are allowed to leave the airport only if they're fully vaccinated, otherwise, everyone, including the Vaishno Devi pilgrims have to get tested", quoted by Times of India. 

As per the reports, travelers who are testing positive upon arrival, are being sent to the DRDO hospital. Currently, the airport has 50% RT-PCR test, and 50% Rapid Antigen Test (RAT). On a daily basis, 200 to 250 tests are being conducted every day.
