Indian Railways has extended the route of two trains Tatanagar-Jammu Tawi and Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi trains up to Bhubaneswar and Puri in Orissa. The routes have been extended to make the movement of passengers easier to Jharkhand and Orissa. As per the reports, the extension of these trains has been demanded by several Odisha MPs since long. 

As per the sources, Indian Railways is also planning to replace the old conventional coaches with LHB coaches in Tata-Jammu Tawi and Sambalpur-Jammu Tawi trains between April to May this year. 

Meanwhile, due to the non-interlocking work being carried out between Tangarmunda in Chakradharpur to Bamada, at least 6 Jharkhand-bound trains have been cancelled until January 12.
