Heavy Snowfall in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are receiving heavy snowfall.

On Tuesday, the hill states Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have received heavy snowfall. From the last few days some parts of these states have been receiving heavy rainfall which turned into snowfall.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for Uttarakhand with a forecast of heavy to very heavy rainfall. In the daily bulletin, IMD said, "Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh."
The national capital of the country, Delhi is also experiencing heavy rainfall. In the Delhi NCR region, the weather department had predicted light to moderate intensity rainfall.
On Sunday, the IMD has issued a statement which stated that moderate to severe thunderstorms accompanied with lighting and winds is likely to spread over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Northeast Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh and Gangetic West Bengal during next 24 hours.
