Delhi-Kathmandu Bus Services to start again
The DTC is set to resume the Delhi-Kathmandu Bus services from Delhi Gate.

The Delhi-Kathmandu (Nepal) bus services were suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic. The services will be resumed on their previous pattern following the latest MHA Covid guidelines.
In a notification, the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) has stated that it has tied up with Skyline India (Motors) Pvt Ltd to operate the bus. Further, the notification stated that the latest Covid-19 protocols/guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) will be strictly followed in all conditions.
“There were 12 passengers in the bus for Kathmandu that left Ambedkar Terminal of DTC at 10 am. The return bus from Kathmandu will leave from there on Thursday morning,” PTI quoted a senior officer of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) said.
The Guidelines
- It is mandatory for all the passengers to carry their Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
- Passengers should provide a negative RT-PCR test report administered within 72 hours before starting their journey.
- In case of failure to present the said documents, passengers will not be allowed to board the bus.
- Regarding the bus fare, it has been increased to around INR 2800, which was earlier around INR 2300.
The Schedule
- The bus will depart from Delhi to Kathmandu on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
- The bus will return on its journey from Kathmandu to Delhi on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
- As per the reports, the bus will halt at Sonauli (India-Nepal border) for customs checking.
- Passengers travelling between Delhi and Kathmandu, will not be allowed to board or board enroute except at the scheduled halts.
