Delhi-Dubai SpiceJet Flight Lands In Pakistan After Tech Fault
A Delhi-Dubai SpiceJet flight has made an emergency landing in Karachi, Pakistan due to technical fault. All the passengers are safely taken to Dubai with another aircraft. Read more to know about the whole incident.

On Tuesday, a Dubai-bound SpiceJet flight that took off from Delhi's IGI airport was diverted to make an emergency landing at Karachi, Pakistan due to a technical malfunction. For the ease of passengers, a replacement aircraft was sent to Karachi to take these passengers to Dubai, as reported by the news agency ANI.
Sharing the news on its Twitter handle, the news agency wrote, "SpiceJet SG-11 flight from Delhi to Dubai makes an emergency landing in Karachi (Pakistan) after developing a technical fault. All passengers on board are safe. More details awaited."

"No emergency was declared", said SpiceJet
In a release, a spokesperson from SpiceJet stated, "No emergency was declared and aircraft made a normal landing. There was no earlier report of any malfunction with the aircraft. Passengers have been served refreshments. A replacement aircraft is being sent to Karachi that will take the passengers to Dubai."
Passengers are safe in Karachi
An official from Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said, "The plane landed in Karachi at 0803 am (local time), 53 minutes after being airborne. It has been on-ground for the past four hours. Passengers are being looked after. The plane has been parked in the designated area where engineers are assessing the problem."

DGCA to probe the matter
Bound to Dubai, the flight took off from Delhi with more than 150 passengers onboard. In a statement, the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated, "the crew observed unusual fuel quantity reduction from the left tank; carried out relevant non-normal checklist, however fuel quantity kept decreasing. Aircraft diverted to Karachi in coordination with ATC. During the post-flight inspection, no visual leak was observed from the left main tank."
