Delhi Govt. Announces To Introduce 'Red Light On Gaadi Off' Campaign

The Delhi government will send off the "Red Light on Gaadi off" crusade once more to check vehicular pollution from October 28, said Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Friday.
This campaign began on October 16, 2020, to control traffic pollution in the national capital. Further, he said, "The Delhi government is on alert. We are strictly implementing all the directions of the Commission for Air Quality Management. On Friday, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reviewed the implementation of the 15-point activity plan to curb air pollution in winter."
Alongside residue and biomass burning, traffic emissions are one of the significant supporters of Delhi's pollution created locally, said Rai. "Therefore, the Delhi government has decided to launch the 'Red Light on Gaadi off' mission to check vehicular pollution from October 28 for one month," Rai said.
