The Flyovers at Punjabi Bagh and Raja Garden
In the areas of Punjabi Bagh and Raja Garden, the flyovers are one way with low-capacity intersections leading to heavy traffic jams and making it difficult for the commuters in the area to travel. The stretch between these flyovers plays a significant role in connecting south Delhi, Gurugram, and other areas of NCR with north Delhi.
The new corridor
The construction of a new corridor between Raja Garden and Punjabi Bagh will bring relief to daily commuters by decongesting the issues of heavy traffic. A six-lane elevated corridor will be constructed between ESI Hospital and Club Road. Another six-lane corridor will be built from Anand Vihar to Apsara Border which will also include two up-down ramps for providing direct connectivity with the flyover.
