Defence Ministry To Set 'BRO Cafes' At Various Indian Borders
The Borders Road Organization (BRO) will be operating BRO Cafes for visitors at Indian border locations.

As per a recent update, the Ministry of Defence approved the setting up of roadside restaurants in 75 areas in 12 states/Union Territories, which will be named BRO Cafes. These bistros will be located on various segments of streets that are controlled by the Border Roads Organization (BRO).
As per the reports by the Times of India, these BRO Cafes will offer facilities to the visitors like eateries or food courts, parking facilities for two-wheelers and four-wheelers, separate bathrooms for ladies, men, and differently-abled, medical aid offices, and so on.

BRO to set up BRO Cafes in these areas
In Himachal Pradesh, the BRO has suggested operating seven such cafes on the Powari-Kaurik route including Sissu in Lahaul, Manali; and Kharo, Sumdo in Kinnaur.
The BRO will operate 14 cafes in various areas in Ladakh, including Kargil, Matiyan, Khaltse, Mulbek, Leh, Rumtse, Hunder, Choglamsar, Debring, Sarchu, Pang, Agham, Hanle, and Nyoma.
In Uttarakhand, BRO will be setting up 11 cafes at Darkot, Bhaironghati, Gwaldam, Birahi, Manera Bypass, Pandukeshwar, Kamand, Nagni, Majri Grant to offer guests another experience. In Jammu and Kashmir, voyagers will get to appreciate wayside BRO conveniences in 12 areas.

BRO Cafes will be operated by BRO with the help of local residents
In the Northeast, visitors will be able to enjoy the amenities provided by the BRO cafes at places like Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Sikkim, Nagaland, and Manipur.
Moreover, in the fields, BRO cafes will be operated in the line province of Punjab, though Rajasthan and West Bengal will likewise element such bistros.
According to the Ministry of Defence, BRO will be running these BRO cafes with local people on a public-private association model, and the details of the project will be for a considerable duration, which will probably be reached for a period as long as five years.
