Char Dham Tourists To Get Rs. 1 Lakh Insurance Cover
The United India Insurance Company Ltd. announced INR 1 lakh accident insurance cover for Char Dham tourists.

As per a recent update, for the people traveling to Char Dham Yatra (Uttarakhand's Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri), INR 1 lakh accident insurance cover has been declared. The protection aggregate will be given to pioneers in the event of a mishap.
The decision has been taken by the United India Insurance Company Ltd. for the benefit of Manav Utthan Seva Samiti, which is an organization begun by Uttarakhand Tourism and Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj. The move has been taken as a welcoming gesture for the tourists.

169 medical specialists will be stationed
As per recent reports, over 100 travelers have kicked the bucket since the Char Dham Yatra began on May 3, 2022. Many of them have died due to medical problems and cardiovascular failure, according to Uttarakhand Director-General (DG) of Health, Shailja Bhatt.
Apart from the accident insurance cover, extra 169 medical specialists will be stationed on the Char Dham course for medical readiness in case of any health-related crisis. As per the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee, over 19 lakhs pilgrims embraced the yatra this year. Among this, a total of 19,04,253 travelers had the option to arrive at the Uttarakhand Char Dham.

Travelers capacity increased by 1,000 per shrine
Keeping in view a large number of devotees, the government of Uttarakhand needed to expand the number of travelers allowed by 1,000 each to every one of the four shrines. Now, on a daily basis, around 16,000 tourists can visit Badrinath and 13,000 can visit Kedarnath, while 8,000 and 5,000 individuals can visit Gangotri and Yamunotri in one day.
