According to the most recent turns of events, Hong Kong has prohibited Air India administrations till April 24 because of surging cases of Covid-19. As per the reports, on Saturday, three travelers on one of its flights tested positive for Covid-19 post-appearance.

In this reference, a senior government official said that passengers from India had the option to enter Hong Kong provided that they had a Covid-19 negative declaration from a test that they had gone through 48 hours before the journey, which was according to the standards given by the Hong Kong Government. 

As per a report by the Times of India, besides, all worldwide travelers are likewise expected to take a post-flight Covid-19 test at the air terminal premises in Hong Kong. 

Passengers tested positive in Air India's Flight 

As per the reports, three travelers on Air India's AI316 Delhi-Kolkata-Hong Kong trip on April 16 tested positive for Covid-19 post-arrival.

Alluding to this, Air India expressed, "Due to restrictions imposed by the Hong Kong authorities and limited demand on the sector, our flights to Hong Kong and back  of 19th and 23rd April stand canceled." 

Recently, Hong Kong has announced a fourteen-day quarantine for passengers coming from eight nations, including India, as the world was wrestling with the flood of the Omicron variation of Covid-19.

After a gap of two years, India returned planned global departures on March 27, the scheduled international flights were canceled during the primary Covid-19 lockdown that was forced back in March 2020.
