Indian Men's Hockey team has won bronze medal after defeating Germany.

On day 14 of Tokyo's Olympic Games, history is created after 41 years by Indian Men's Hockey team by winning bronze medal. The team has won the match after defeating Germany by 5-4. Simranjeet Singh (17th, 34th minutes) scored a brace, while Hardik Singh (27th), Harmanpreet Singh (29th) and Rupinder Pal Singh (31st) were the other goal getters for world no.3 India.

Team India may have had a poor start in this match, but then it made a comeback by scoring consecutive goals, but after that Germany put pressure on India by scoring two more goals. But Team India made a tremendous comeback and gave the match a 5-4 lead in just 2 minutes. 

Vinesh Phogat loses Quarter-finals

Vinesh Phogat has faced defeat in quarter-finals by Belarus’ Vanesa Kaladzinskaya in the 53kg match.

Ravi Dahiya (57kg) and Deepak Punia (86kg) will be fighting for gold and bronze medal respectively, in the evening session.
