Mumbai Indians won the IPL title for the 5th time. It became the team to win the tournament the most times. Rohit Sharma's team defeated Delhi Capitals by 5 wickets for the first time. The loss added an unsolicited record with Delhi. Delhi became the first team to lose by scoring less than 160 runs in the final.
On the other hand, Mumbai’s team, won the title 6 times. Earlier in the 2010 final too, Mumbai chased against Chennai Super Kings, but they lost that match.

•Delhi won the toss and gave a target of 157 runs while batting first. In response, Mumbai lost 5 wickets in 18.4 overs and won the match, scoring 157 runs. Rohit Sharma scored 68 runs in 51 balls and Ishan Kishan scored 33 runs in 19 balls.
