I-League suspended for two weeks, Players test Covid Positive
The on-going I-League is likely to be suspended for two weeks as players have tested positive for Covid-19.

As per the reports, I-League is likely to be suspended for two weeks as Covid-19 cases were reported inside the bio-secure bubble in Kolkata. At least 15 players have been tested positive for the virus according to FPJ.
"Five players and three officials from Real Kashmir and at least one player each from Mohammedan Sporting and Sreenidi Deccan FC are among those positive cases," a top league source told PTI. Further, the source said, "I-League is not yet suspended and we will take a decision in the emergency meeting of the league committee at 4pm today."

The report states that 8 players from Real Kashmir FC, who were staying at hotel Novotel, have tested positive for Covid-19. In addition to that 8 more players from 7 other teams who have been putting up in the Kolkata hotel have also tested positive for Covid-19.
In order to nnounce the decision, the I-League committee is all set to meet in the afternoon. The I-League started on December 26 with the initial game challenged between Manipuri club Tiddim Road Athletic United (TRAU) FC and Indian Arrows at the Mohun Bagan ground. Th event is held across three venues — the Mohun Bagan Ground, the Kalyani Stadium in Kalyani, and the Naihati Stadium in Naihati.
This time, the number of teams in the I-League has increased, with around 13 clubs participating.
