BCCI announces Indian Squad Members for ICC Women's World Cup 2022

The BCCI has announced the names of Indian squad members to be playing for ICC Women's World Cup 2022.

On Thursday, the BCCI has announced the Indian women's cricket team for the upcoming ICC Women's World Cup 2022. Mithali Raj will lead the team, while Harmanpreet Kaur will be the deputy. Team India will play its first World Cup match against Pakistan at Bay Oval, Tauranga on March 6, 2022. The team will also participate in a 5-match ODI series against New Zealand starting on February 11, 2022.

Mithali Raj (Captain), Harmanpreet Kaur (Vice-Captain), Smriti Mandhana, Shafali Verma, Yastika Bhatia, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (WK), Sneh Rana, Jhulan Goswami, Pooja Vastrakar, Meghna Singh, Renuka Singh Thakur, Tania Bhatia (wicketkeeper), Rajeshwari Gaikwad, Poonam Yadav. 


Standby players: Sabbhineni Meghna, Ekta Bisht, Simran Dil Bahadur 

The All India Women's Selection Committee also selected the squad for the one-off T20I against New Zealand to be played on 9 February 2022.
