Bangladesh has defeated Australia by 4-1 in the 5th match of T20I.

In the final match of T20I Australia has lost the series to Bangladesh by 4-1. The match was played in Dhaka. Shakib Al Hasan scored his 100th T20I wicket on the way with a haul of 4 for 9. Mohammad Saifuddin grabbed 3 for 12 as Bangladesh choked Australia. 

The Beginning 

Bangladesh began with Mahedi Hasan instead of regular opener Soumya Sarkar. As per the reports by ESPN cricinfo, "along with Mohammad Naim, he ensured the hosts walloped 33 off the first three overs, all bowled by the spinners. Matthew Wade first went to Ashton Turner's part-time offspin, then to Ashton Agar and finally to Adam Zampa, before introducing pace in the fourth over through Nathan Ellis."

Australia scored 62-all out, which is the lowest ever score in T20I of the Australian Cricket team. Earlier, in 2012 the team has lost to West Indies. In 2014, the team was defeated by India and Pakistan defeated Australia in 2018. 

With their win over Zimbabwe and Australia, Bangladesh has now qualified for T20 World Cup. Shakib also became the first bowler from Bangladesh and the second bowler in the world to take 100 wickets in T20 International cricket. Shakib now has 102 wickets to his name. Only Sri Lanka's legendary fast bowler Lasith Malinga (107 wickets) has taken more wickets than him. Captain Matthew Wade scored 22 runs for Australia. Apart from them, only Ben McDermott (17) reached double digits.
