Sharad Purnima will be observed on October 19. As per the Hindu calendar, Sharad Purnima falls on the full moon day of the Ashwin month. 

Significance of the day 

On this day, the Moon is fully illuminated and the beams offer healing powers that nourish both the body and the spirit. There is also a phenomenon of nectar dripping from the Moonbeams. Devotees keep Rice-Kheer, a popular Indian sweet dessert under the moonlight for the entire night. The kheer consists of cow milk, rice, and sugar.

On the auspicious day of Sharad Purnima, devotees worship Lord Chandra (Moon) by waking up early in the morning, taking bath and wearing new clothes. .
